PRP Hair Loss Treatments
Losing your hair can be a hugely upsetting to endure. It can crush your confidence and self-esteem. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a procedure for hair regrowth without surgery. It is best used for thinning hair and can slow or stop the progress of hair loss.
Hair loss is typically caused by a lack of cell renewal in the scalp, PRP encourages the regrowth of those cells, including hair follicles. It can be used to treat both male/female pattern baldness and alopecia.

Does it Require Consultation Beforehand?
Before we treat, we go through a detailed consultation to assess your suitability for the treatment and plan a treatment programme tailored to your needs.
How Long Does it Take?
Each treatment session takes an hour to an hour and a half. Before your first treatment we conduct an initial consultation.
Depending on the severity of the hair loss, a course of 3-6 treatments is recommended, each 4-6 weeks apart.
Does it Hurt?
During each treatment, between 30 and 60mm of blood is removed from your arm. This blood is separated in a centrifuge and the platelets extracted. The platelets, rich with growth factor, are implanted into the scalp using micro injections.
We use strong local analgesia at the injection sites. But there may be mild pain.
Suggested Aftercare
Immediately after PRP treatment, you can immediately get back to your routine. However, you should avoid alcohol and strenuous activity for 24 hours after each treatment.
How Long Does the Treatment Last?
The treatment typically lasts 4 to 10 months.
